Since 1983, the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) has been on the forefront bringing attention to the issues of critical importance to the Caribbean American community.

The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS) is a non-partisan, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization established in 1993, dedicated to education, advocacy and action on issues that impact on Caribbean -Americans. 

IGNITE CARIBBEAN is an initiative of ICS to create inter-generational leadership.  Programs under the Ignite Caribbean includes the 30 Under 30 Caribbean American Emerging Leaders/ChangeMakers Awards which honors young persons exhibiting leadership in academia, volunteerism and entrepreneurship in the Caribbean American community.
