Shannon Boodram is an author and sex/ love expert certified as a sexual educator and as a clinical sexologist. Her anthology, LAID: Young People’s Experiences with Sex in an Easy-Access Culture (Seal Press), sold thousands of copies across North America.  

Her YouTube channel, an educational sex-positive platform has 6 million views and 130k subscribers. Through her work as a sexual educator Boodram runs a Skype counseling service, is an ambassador for AIDS Health Foundation and a youth leader at Aviva, a house for young women who have survived sex trafficking.

She was the host of MTV pilot Unprotected Text and MTV Canada's hit show "Losing It." She works regularly as a host/ expert on BET (The Experiment, BET Experience Top Ten, Just Keke, BET News Town Hall, On Trend, Underground News Outlet, The Post Show) and has appeared as a sexpert for CNN Radio, Fox News, KTLA, ABC, CBC, The Insider, The Amber Rose Show on VH1, TLC’s All About Sex and National Geographic's Original Sin.

Boodram completed print journalism at Centennial College, received a certification in sex education counseling from the University of Toronto and has both an Associate in Sex Education as well as a clinical sexologist certification through The Institute for Advanced Study in Human Sexuality.
