Samantha was born and grew up in a poverty-stricken environment who is a suicide survivor, recovering from depression. During her adolescent and early adulthood, Samantha experienced periods of depression which have led to her being suicidal at one point. However, with the right type of counseling and therapy, she has recovered and took this opportunity to devote her life to creating suicide awareness, opportunities to help individuals who have experienced mental health conditions. She has created several videos highlighting young people views on Mental Health in Guyana, Self-care talks, and counseling services to help the affected demographic. One of her most popular projects is the Mental Health Matters, Stay Alive app and the recognized article (State of Mind, Global Entrepreneurship Week) published on Leading Change Website. Her innovative abilities have integrated technology, foster collaborations and individuals to create sustainable solutions, focusing on addressing social issues such as the Guyana high unemployment rate, Mental Health, and an alarming failure rate for Mathematics in Guyana (MathGuru). 

Her mission is to influence and inspire sustainable development, through creating impact for One Billion individuals across the Commonwealth through entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation and mental wellness.

Samantha has more than 17 years of experience volunteering with the Youth Department in Guyana. She has devoted her time to empower youths, create a hub for youths to develop their skills and gain experience with respect to understanding a Non-Governmental Organization. In 2016, Samantha participated in her first international engagement at the Global Entrepreneur and Innovations Program, held at University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA. Samantha's innovation in the area of Depression was recognized and placed 3rd in the pitch competition. Google, BBC and Facebook have aided her knowledge base, to help empower individuals digitally, create sustainable Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Community Development that is utilizing the Public-Private Sector approach, enabling an individual to become self-sustainable, independent, fostering independent thinking in business development (aimed at stimulating our Digital Economy and addressing challenges surrounding the increase of high unemployment). Her partnership with Google-Digital Garage is a project tailored to assist companies to empower and promote their virtual presence and business model canvas. This project has reached approximately 15,000 online registrants from Guyana, Caribbean, Tanzania, and Bangladesh. Her most recent project involved a partnership with groups of small businesses, to create a digital presence, grow their digital audience and network in Guyana.
