Khalil Smith, with demonstrated leadership in the field of journalism, is the originator of the UAkron- sports radio show- The Blitz. He is also the producer and co-host of the weekly broadcast.

The show is streamed live and is broadcast live the greater Akron and Cleveland Area.

The show gives students an opportunity to sharpen their journalism skills in reporting, editing, story developing and teamwork. The show broadcasts up to date sports news, commentary and topics of interests to the audience. Guests have included students, faculty, and professionals in the sports industry.
