Dariana Guerrero is a current English teacher at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. As a Dominican American she makes sure to bring diverse works of literature into her classroom to educate, redefine and inspect what the field of English means to adolescents. She is a recent graduate of Smith College and is looking to pursue a PhD in literary and cultural theory in the near future. Dariana is a poet, having published various works of poetry in literary and scholarly journals such as Glass Poetry Anthology and Women: A Cultural Review to name a few.

Dariana is  a courageous activist in all social spheres. In every area of her life, whether it as a Bread Loaf mentor, a teacher, a poet, or a friend, she's a fierce advocate for social equality, addressing and fighting inequality, especially in the Latinx community. Dariana is proud of her Dominican heritage, and uses that strong connection to inspire others to speak up on behalf of inequality their communities. She takes a personal interest in every child and teen that she mentors, and because of that, Dariana forges a unique and personal bond with her students, inside and outside of the classroom.
