Abbisola Oxley is an exceptional young woman who has achieved impactful results within her short period of time as a Fellow at reSET, a social enterprise focused business incubator in Hartford.

Before receiving a Newman’s Own Foundation Fellowship, Abbi received a Posse Foundation Merit Based Full Tuition Scholarship, which allowed her to attend DePauw University where she continued to receive honors and opportunities due to her extraordinary service to her university.

While at DePauw, Abbi received a Bonner Scholarship for community service, a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship- sponsored by the US Department of State, and was selected for an International Studies Abroad (ISA) Program that allowed her to study at Mahidol University in Thailand.

Abbi’s interest in international economic development was also reflected in her entrepreneurial spirit, which caused her to fearlessly attend study abroad programs in Senegal, South Africa, and her own independent study in Guyana. At reSET, Abbi has built relationships with strategic partners, conducted presentations on investment options to international students who were a part of the Young South East Asian Leaders Initiative Program (sponsored by the Dep of State), and conducted workshops on business modeling and social impact as co- director of the reSET Impact Accelerator Internship Program.

Currently, she is working on a body of research on metrics for early stage entrepreneurs. Abbi is only 23, and her track record of dedication to success has convinced me that she will make an outstanding contribution to the world, all she needs is a community of support.
